About Magic Home Photos

What the tool is, who it is for and what it can do

Magic Home Photos is an online AI photo editor made for property photos. You add the photos of a house, apartment, holiday rental or commercial space, and the AI returns a brighter, cleaner, straighter and more attractive version that is ready for a listing. You work entirely in your browser and you do not need any photo editing software or experience.

It is built for everyone who presents property with photos: estate agents, holiday rental hosts and rental managers, landlords and property managers, property photographers, interior stylists, and contractors and renovation companies. If your work depends on photos that make a property look its best, the tool is made for you. Interior stylists and renovation companies can also use a restyle instruction to show an idea of how a room could look.

Interior and exterior property photos: living and dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, terraces, balconies, gardens and pool areas, covered or semi-outdoor spaces, facades and entrances, and photos of the view and the surroundings. Photos that are not property photos are not what the tool is designed for.

It works on the photography rather than the property: exposure and brightness, dull or colour-cast light, flat contrast, colour accuracy, sharpness and clarity, and crooked horizons or leaning walls. It also tidies the presentation by removing small, clearly distracting items such as loose cables, hoses, bins or cleaning materials. The room, the architecture and the view stay the property you photographed. By default it does not restyle the property. If you write a restyle instruction, it can also change colours and styling on the same photo as an idea for agents and stylists.

No. Everything happens in your browser. You add a photo, optionally add one short instruction, and press start. There is nothing to install and no editing knowledge required.

Not by default. Without an extra instruction the AI must stay truthful: no invented rooms, no bigger house, no new view. If you explicitly ask for a restyle, the AI may show a styling idea such as painted doors or a refreshed living room. That result is a proposal. Use it next to the current photo, not instead of it.

Yes. You can build a video presentation from the improved photos of a project. Open the Photo edit page and click Video Page in the top right. You need finished (improved) photos in the project; if nothing is ready yet you will see: There are no finished photos for this project yet.

Getting started

From your first login to your first enhanced photo

Create an account and sign in, open Add New Photos, select or drag in your photos, check the recognised category and optionally add an instruction, then press the enhance button. Each photo is handled on its own and appears in your project as soon as it is finished.

When you sign up you get 15 free credits. Your first video is free as well: up to 15 photos and up to 2 moving (animated) photos. Above those limits the normal price applies, and your free entitlement stays available. Credits never expire.

In your workspace. Every upload belongs to a project, and the project page shows each photo with its current status, the before and after comparison, and the download button once it is ready.

Yes. The whole site and workspace are designed to work on phones and tablets, including selecting photos from your camera roll, following progress and downloading results. Nothing is limited to a desktop computer.

Yes. After registering you confirm your email address before you can start working, which keeps your account and your photos tied to you only.

Yes. Unfinished uploads and photos you selected but did not start yet are kept in this browser (and partly on the server), also when you leave the page and come back later. Use Manage drafts to Resume or delete a draft. On another device, select the same photos again; your instructions come back.

After 60 minutes without activity you are signed out, with the message: You were signed out after 60 minutes of inactivity. Photos that were already in the queue simply continue in the background. Sign in again to see the results.

Uploading photos

Adding photos, file types, sizes and what happens before you start

Open Add New Photos and either click the upload area to pick files or drag your photos straight onto it. You can select several photos in one go, and each one gets its own settings before you start.

Common image files such as JPG, PNG and WebP. The file picker accepts image files only, so documents or video files cannot be added.

The hard limit is 25 MB per photo. You never have to resize anything yourself: before uploading, every photo is optimised automatically to a maximum of 4 megapixels and a maximum of 5 MB JPEG, keeping the exact aspect ratio. JPG, PNG and WEBP are supported; HEIC is not.

There is no fixed limit on the number of photos in one upload. In practice your credit balance decides how many photos you can enhance, because every enhanced photo uses one credit.

Three things happen immediately, before you press start: the photo is prepared for upload in your browser, it is checked for recognisable people, and its category is recognised. That is why the category and the matching ready-to-use tasks are already visible while you are still reviewing your selection.

No. Magic Home Photos is for property photos, so a photo is refused as soon as a recognisable face is visible in it. You will see a message naming the photo, and it is removed from your selection. Photos where a person appears without any visible face are not treated as a face.

The people check has to succeed before a photo may continue. If the check cannot be completed, for example because of a temporary connection problem, the photo is refused instead of let through. Try selecting the photo again in a moment.

Per photo you can confirm or change the recognised category, pick one or more ready-to-use tasks, type your own short instruction, and choose to keep the original framing. Your credit balance and the number of selected photos are shown next to the start button.

Up to 250 characters per photo. Keep it short and concrete, for example asking for a specific detail to be kept or for extra care with a window view.

Automatic photo categories

How the category of each photo is recognised and why it matters

When you select a photo, it is looked at and matched to the property category that fits best, such as kitchen, bedroom or outdoor. You see the result in the category field of that photo, so you can check it before anything is processed.

Immediately after you select the photo in Add New Photos, not when processing starts. The category is therefore already known while you are still reviewing your selection.

Yes. Choose another category in the dropdown of that photo, and your choice is final: once you pick a category yourself, the automatic recognition does not overrule it afterwards.

The category decides two things: which ready-to-use tasks you are offered, and which category-specific improvement rules are applied. A bathroom is treated differently from a garden or a kitchen, which is what keeps the result appropriate for the room.

The categories currently in use are kitchen, living and dining room, bedroom, bathroom, outdoor, semi-outdoor, views and surroundings, and a general category for anything that does not fit the others. The list can be extended over time.

Improving photos

What the AI changes and how your own instructions work

Exposure, brightness and white balance, dull or colour-cast lighting, flat contrast, colour accuracy, natural sharpness, and perspective so vertical lines stand up straight and horizons are level. Rooms are made bright and natural rather than over-processed, so the result still looks like the actual property.

Not automatically. The standard job is enhancement, not a rebuild. Walls, windows, layout and view stay as photographed unless you ask for a restyle. With a clear restyle instruction the AI can change colours, textiles and styling. It still should not add extra rooms or a different view.

Only lightly. Small, temporary or distracting items that do not belong in a professional listing photo, such as cables, hoses, bins or cleaning materials, may be removed. Furniture and belongings that define the room are kept.

Yes. Every photo has its own instruction field of up to 250 characters, and you can combine it with a ready-to-use task. Instructions are always given per photo, so each photo can be treated differently. Use the instruction field for small tweaks such as “remove the garden hose”, or for a restyle such as “paint the beams white”.

Your instruction is always taken into account, but an AI result is never guaranteed to match a request word for word, and instructions that would misrepresent the property are not carried out. If the result is not what you wanted, you can enhance the photo again with a clearer instruction.

Yes. Straightening a photo can shave the outer edges slightly. If you need the exact framing of your original, switch on the option to keep the original framing for that photo before you start.

Yes. A finished photo can be enhanced again with a new instruction. You choose which image to start from: the original upload, which is usually the best choice for quality, or the enhanced result you already have, if you want to build further on it.

Yes. Every finished photo has a comparison view where you can slide between the original and the result, and you can open the photo full screen to switch between the two.

The result keeps the dimensions and aspect ratio of the photo you uploaded and comes back at a resolution suitable for portals, brochures and your own website.

Yes. Older versions of a photo are kept under Version history. Viewing them is free. With Use this version you restore an earlier version as the current result.

Yes. Open Edit even more and pick your starting point: Original photo (Cleanest quality) or Edited photo (Current). Then type an extra instruction and click Start editing. A new round costs 1 credit if it succeeds. Your previous instruction is not repeated automatically; type it again if you still need it.

Beds are not remade automatically. It only happens when bed-making is switched on for that photo: the existing bed keeps the same size and only bedding, pillows and towels inside the bed area change. For those photos you can choose Bed edit strength in five steps: 1 Very light — straighten only, 2 Light — tidy up, 3 Balanced (recommended), 4 Strong — hotel finish, 5 Maximum — showroom finish.

Yes. In Settings → Saved custom prompts you keep your own set of instructions, up to 50. There is also an Improve text with AI button to polish your text. Ticked example sentences from Ready-to-use tasks do not count towards the character limit.

Restyle

Optional styling ideas for agents and stylists

Yes, if you ask for it. Without an instruction the AI only improves the photo: light, colour, straight lines and light tidying. If you write a restyle instruction, the AI can show a styling idea on the same photo: a different atmosphere, different colours or a refreshed living room. The floor plan, windows and view stay the same. Treat the result as a proposal, not as proof that the property has already been renovated.

Estate agents, interior stylists, rental managers and renovation advisers who want to show “how it is now” next to “how it could look”. Use the original enhanced photo for the listing of the current property, and the restyle version as an idea.

Surface styling on the existing photo. Examples: restyle a living room; paint doors, frames or beams another colour; change wall colour; give kitchen fronts another colour without changing the layout; add styling such as cushions, plants, towels or tableware. You type this in the photo instruction, or later with Edit even more. Example instructions: “Restyle this living room with warm beige walls and a lighter sofa. Keep the layout.”, “Paint the wooden beams white and the interior doors sage green.”, “Show this kitchen with white cabinet fronts, same layout and same window view.”

It will not add rooms, walls, extra windows or an extra floor. It will not invent a new view such as sea, mountains or a skyline. It will not make the property larger than it is. Photos with people remain not allowed.

Upload the photo as usual. In the instruction field, write clearly what should change and what must stay. Then press Enhance. To build on a finished photo, open Edit even more and write the restyle there. One successful restyle uses 1 credit, just like a normal enhancement. After a paid edit you can re-edit that photo twice for free; after those two the next round costs 1 credit again and gives two new free re-edits. Free re-edits never expire.

Yes. Every version is kept. Use the enhanced original for a truthful listing photo, and the restyle version to show a possible new style. The before/after comparison makes the difference clear.

No. A restyle is an idea on the existing photo. Materials, light and workmanship in real life can differ. Do not present a restyle as the current state of the property.

Ready-to-use tasks

Suggested instructions that match the photo you selected

They are short, prepared instructions you can pick with one click instead of typing your own, for example asking for a brighter room or a tidier surface. They save time and are worded in the way the AI understands best.

Because the list follows the category of the photo. A bedroom is offered different suggestions from a kitchen or an outdoor photo. If a category has no specific suggestions, you are shown the general list.

Yes. You can pick one or more suggestions and still type your own instruction. They are sent together, and picking a suggestion does not use up the 250 characters of your own text.

In two places: while preparing a new photo in Add New Photos, and in the box for enhancing a finished photo again. Both use the same suggestions for the category of that photo.

Projects and processing

How projects work and what happens after you press start

A project keeps the photos of one property together, so a full listing stays in one place. Every upload belongs to a project, and you can name and rename projects in your workspace.

Yes. When you add photos you can choose an existing project instead of starting a new one, so later batches join the same property.

There is no fixed maximum. A project can hold as many photos as you need for the property.

Yes. Each photo keeps its own category, so a single project can mix kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and outdoor photos without any extra setup.

Each photo goes into the queue, is then edited, and finally appears as finished. Photos are handled independently of each other, so one slow photo does not hold up the rest, and you see the status of every photo on the project page.

No. Processing happens on our side, not in your browser. You can close the tab, work in another project or come back later on another device; the results are waiting for you in the project.

Usually a couple of minutes. While a photo is being edited you see a progress indicator on the photo itself, so you can tell it is moving along.

Yes. Stop halts that one photo after the current step (Stopping after the current step…, then Photo stopped) without losing finished photos; Continue resumes the same photo from the last checkpoint. Pause processing and Resume processing pause or resume the whole project queue. Cancel stops one waiting photo, Cancel all stops every open photo; a cancelled photo costs no credit. Restart this photo restarts one photo, Restart processing restarts the whole queue.

Yes. Every photo shows its own state on the project page: waiting in the queue, being edited, paused, finished, or failed.

Yes. You change the order by dragging the photos; the page scrolls along automatically while you drag. You can also search projects and sort them by Newest first, Oldest first and Name A–Z / Z–A.

The account menu contains My jobs (/my-jobs): an overview of your processed photos and their status. The status per photo on the project page is Uploading, Queued, Enhancing, Done, Failed, Cancelled or Paused.

While improving, a photo goes through these phases: Analyzing photo, Compiling instruction, Editing photo, Quality check and Finalising. You also see a percentage and an estimated time per photo.

Photo names & metadata

SEO file names, ALT text, keywords and what is saved with each photo

Photo Names & Metadata is the button above your photos on the photo page. It creates a search-engine friendly file name from the property details you fill in, and it adds information to every ticked photo: ALT text you can paste on a website, a title, a description that starts with the property, keywords, and the province or state. Only the photos you tick are renamed and updated, and you can use it in all twelve languages of the app.

Behind every property field there is a number from 1 to 5 that sets its position in the file name. Property type is 1 and Property name is 2 by default, followed by Town, Area and Country. A field you leave empty is simply skipped, and when the property type is also the first word of the property name it is used only once, so villa plus villa Xarabella becomes villa-xarabella-denia-spain-exterior-01.jpg. The preview under the fields shows the name before anything is changed.

Photos that were improved by the app get their name and information for free. A photo that was never improved costs 1 credit. Before anything is charged the dialog shows how many photos are free, how many cost a credit, and what your credit balance is. Running it a second time for the same photo is not charged again.

Yes. The ALT text is shown under the file name of the photo and you can edit it by hand. Text you typed yourself is never overwritten by a later run. The ALT text and Photo details only appear once Photo Names & Metadata has run for that project; Photo details shows the full information of the photo, including the title, description, keywords, file name and province or state.

The name a photo arrived with is always kept and travels inside the downloaded file, so uploading the same photo again to the same project updates that photo instead of adding a second one. Photos of another project are never touched. Downloads follow the numbers in the file names: 01 first, then 02, and 09 before 10; photos without a number keep the order of the project and come last.

Downloading photos

Single downloads, file formats and downloading a whole project

Open the project, use the download button on the finished photo and choose the file format you want. The photo is saved straight to your device.

JPG, PNG or WebP. JPG is the safest choice for property portals, WebP gives the smallest files for your own website, and PNG is the lossless option.

One button downloads every successfully completed photo of the project at once as a ZIP file. File names are built automatically from the property details, so they are recognisable and SEO-friendly; you set this up in Generate photo names. Those same property details are also stored inside the photo file itself (metadata), so they travel with the photo.

Only the photos that are successfully finished and downloadable at the moment you press the button. Photos that are still queued, being edited, paused, failed or cancelled are not included, and they are not counted in the number on the button.

Yes. You do not have to wait for the whole project. The ZIP simply contains what was finished at that moment, so you can press the button again later to get a new archive that includes the photos that finished in the meantime.

Photo links expire after a while. Click Refresh links to load them again.

Yes. When Receive photos by email is switched on in Settings, you get an email with a preview and a download link as soon as a photo is finished.

Credits and pricing

How credits are used, what they cost and how to buy more

One credit equals one successfully enhanced photo. After a paid edit, you can re-edit that same photo twice for free using Edit even more, with no time limit. After those two free re-edits, the next round costs 1 credit and unlocks two new free re-edits. Failed attempts do not cost credits.

One. The credit is only taken once the enhanced result has actually been produced and stored, so you are never charged for work that did not deliver a photo. After a paid edit you can re-edit that photo twice for free; after those two the next round costs 1 credit again and gives two new free re-edits. Free re-edits never expire.

No. If a photo does not result in an enhanced image, no credit is taken, and if a credit had already been counted for that attempt it is refunded to your balance automatically.

Not immediately. Each paid photo enhancement includes two free re-edits using Edit even more with no time limit. After using both free re-edits, the next edit costs 1 credit and starts a new cycle with two free re-edits.

Through the Pricing page, where you choose a credit package and pay online. Your new credits are added to your balance so you can continue straight away.

There are currently four packages: 10 credits for EUR 10, 25 credits for EUR 20, 50 credits for EUR 35 and 100 credits for EUR 60, with 21% VAT included. The Pricing page always shows the current packages and prices.

A credit is only charged after the result is saved, and the same attempt is never charged twice. Failed or cancelled: no credit, and a credit that was already charged is returned automatically. Deleting a photo or project does not give credits back. Credits never expire and cannot be exchanged for money.

Your balance is on the dashboard under Available credits, with Credit history below it. The line types are: Photo enhanced, Purchase, Promo credits, Free starter credits, Refund, Refund (failed) and Admin adjustment.

Choose a package via Pricing or Buy more credits and click Buy package; payment runs securely through Stripe. The credits are then added to your account, sometimes within a minute (payment is being confirmed). You receive your VAT invoice by email through Stripe. With a cancelled payment nothing is charged.

Problems and retries

Failed photos, retries and refunds

The photo is marked as failed and shows a short explanation in plain language, the likely reason and the one action that helps most, such as trying again, waiting a moment or buying credits. The rest of your project simply carries on.

Yes. A failed photo offers a restart button, and you can also go back to its settings first to change the category or the instruction and then run it again.

No. A failed photo does not cost you a credit, and any credit already counted for that attempt is returned to your balance automatically.

Check that the file is an image and within the 25 MB limit, check your internet connection and try the photo again. If a photo keeps failing, another photo of the same room usually works.

Processing stops before any work is done, so nothing is lost. Buy a credit package on the Pricing page and start the photo again.

When the AI service is briefly busy, the app waits and tries again instead of letting the photo fail. If a photo still gets stuck on a temporary error, use Retry this photo and wait a few minutes if needed.

Account, privacy and languages

Your account, your photos and the languages we support

Only you, from your own account. Photos and projects are tied to the account that uploaded them, and the links used to show or download an image are temporary and expire.

Your originals and enhanced results are kept in secure cloud storage in a location that belongs to your account, so that you can open your projects again later and download your results whenever you want.

Yes. You can delete individual photos from a project, and you can request deletion of your account, after which your account data is removed. The Privacy Policy explains what happens with your data in more detail.

Twelve: English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Polish and Croatian. You can switch language at any time, and the website and workspace follow your choice.

Both are linked in the footer of every page: the General Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy, together with the Cookie Policy. They are available in every supported language.

Use the contact page and describe what you ran into, ideally with the name of the project and the photo. We are happy to help.

The site is available in en (default), nl, de, fr, es, it, pt, da, no, sv, pl and hr; the URL always starts with the language code. The language of the video texts is chosen separately in the Video presentation window, independently of the app language.

Deleting runs via Delete my account → Send confirmation code (6 digits to your email) → Delete my account permanently. After that all photos and projects are gone permanently and any remaining credits lapse without refund. Invoices are kept for as long as the law requires.

Video presentations

Turning the improved photos of a project into a video.

1. Improve your photos first, until their status is Done. 2. Open the project (Photo edit page) and click Video Page in the top right. 3. Fill in the plan per photo. 4. Choose a style and music. 5. Choose the language and write the texts. 6. Click Start and confirm the cost. 7. You do not have to wait: generating runs in the background. 8. Afterwards you can watch, download or publish it. Back returns you to the project.

Only finished (improved) photos can be used in the video; anything not improved yet does not belong in it. If nothing is ready you will see: There are no finished photos for this project yet. On top of that, Use in video decides per photo whether it takes part.

Per photo you set: Use in video (whether this photo takes part), the order (drag; the order in the plan is the order in the video), Duration (3 to 8 seconds: 3 / 3.5 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8, or Follow style to follow the duration of the chosen video style), Animate (on or off for this photo), Movement level (Standard, Subtle or More) and Subject (what the movement is about). With Save the plan is kept, also when you come back later.

Yes. A video always starts with an opening screen and ends with a closing screen; you write those texts yourself in the Video presentation dialog. The opening screen has a title line and a subtitle line. The closing screen has a title, a description text and a closing call to action.

Yes. The live preview shows every screen exactly as it will look in the final video, including the fade timing, so you see the result beforehand.

You choose the text colour with a colour picker. Readability is handled by an automatic shadow: light text on light bands and dark text on dark bands stay readable. The texts also have fixed, generous margins, so text never touches the edge of the frame.

Yes. Per photo you can add a short text that appears on that photo in the video. It is optional and may stay empty. The timing of a caption follows the duration of that photo. Captions get an adaptive shadow: on a light photo the text gets a darker outline and on a dark photo a lighter one, so the text always stays readable.

Yes. In the Video presentation window you first choose the language of the video texts, independently of the app language. You can make one video per language; a video in another language is its own video with its own texts. Every language keeps its own set of texts; switching language leaves the texts of the other languages untouched.

Translations always run via English: your text is first translated into English and from English into the chosen language, so the meaning is the same in every language.

Texts are kept when you leave the page or close the browser. Texts you typed yourself are locked for that language and never change on their own. Only the explicit Read page action replaces texts with data from the app, and it always asks for confirmation first. A locked text is of course still shown in the chosen language in the video itself.

You choose the video style and the background music at project level; that choice is kept for later videos of the same project.

If the video runs longer than the music track, the music repeats seamlessly with a short overlap, so there is never a silence between the repeats.

No. Rendering runs in the background and you can close the window or go to another page. You see the statuses Waiting → Animating → Rendering → Done, with a percentage and an estimated remaining time (ETA) that is adjusted during the process; photos that already have movement are not counted again. As soon as the video is ready you get a pop-up notification, also when you are on another page in the meantime.

A finished video can be watched and downloaded as .mp4, with a progress indication from 0 to 100%. A video can only be downloaded by the account it belongs to.

Moving photos

Animated water and plants inside your video.

Movement is only added to things that really move: water (sea, swimming pool, fountain) and plants, leaves and trees in a light breeze. Nothing else moves, and there is never a time-lapse effect.

There are exactly three movement levels: Standard, Subtle and More. Subtle is a light breeze, More a firm breeze. To calm it down, set Movement level to Subtle, or switch Animate off for that photo.

Yes. You can pick specific moving photos and have only those remade, without rendering the whole video again. There is also a button to go back to the previous animation of a photo.

No. Animated photos are kept in the library and reused in later videos of the same project, also when you choose a different video style, so you do not pay twice for the same movement.

In Settings → tab Reused animations. It lists animations you made earlier, with the actions Search by name, Use in project, Rename, Remove from library and Open project.

With Subject you say what the movement is about, for example the water or the greenery in that photo. You set it in the video plan per photo, next to Animate and Movement level.

Sharing, YouTube and video downloads

Publishing your video and putting it on your own website.

Yes. A finished video can be published to YouTube straight from the app, after a one-off connection of your YouTube account. You choose the visibility of the video on YouTube while publishing.

No. Title, description and tags are filled in automatically in an SEO-friendly way, based on the property details, and you can adjust them afterwards.

Yes. After the upload the app shows the real YouTube processing status with progress, and switches to the finished result by itself.

Yes. For your own website there is a privacy-friendly embed link and embed code, so you do not have to upload the file yourself.

A video can only be downloaded by the account it belongs to.

Video problems and credits

What a video costs and what happens when a render fails.

A video costs 2 credits per photo that is in it. At Start the app always shows what the video costs first; starting is blocked when there are too few credits. Your first video is free inside the trial: up to 15 photos and up to 2 moving photos.

After a paid video the first generate is paid, then you get 2 free regenerations, but only within 7 days of that paid generate. After those 2 free runs or after 7 days, the next generate is paid again and starts a new 7-day window.

No. Recreate opens the text editing screen first; the cost confirmation only follows when you press Start.

When the render fails, the reason is shown on screen and you can start again yourself with Try again. The credits of the failed attempt are refunded automatically.

At Start the app first shows what the video costs; starting is blocked when there are too few credits. Buy credits via Pricing or Buy more credits and start again afterwards. The same applies to photos: without credits, starting and restarting are blocked (You have no credits left. Buy credits before you start or restart processing).

Yes. The credits of a failed video attempt are refunded automatically. In your credit history you see this as Refund or Refund (failed).
