Yes, as a light signal. Google also reads ALT, nearby text, and the image itself. Empty names waste that signal.
How long can ALT text be?
Keep it around 125 characters. One sentence. What is visible, plus the place.
What if I have three bathrooms?
Number them and name what you see: bathroom 1 walk-in shower, bathroom 2 bathtub.
Will Airbnb use this ALT automatically?
Usually not. The text is ready to paste. Your own website and many CMS tools can use the HTML ALT or read IPTC.
Do I need a different name for WebP?
